It's 1973, and the Denver and Rio Grande Western is running over the the high line on the Silverton Branch. The K-28 476 is leading this train along the High Line with its iconic diamond stack.
Okay, it's not 1973... Instead, it's 2023, and the Durango and Silverton, the successor to the D&RGW is running a throwback to fifty years earlier and a 'What if?' train as the Rio Grande never ran in the winter. It was a great weekend of seeing what could have been as the staff at the D&SNG did a stand up job of backdating the 476 to her historic appearance.
