This was PO87 (The Ordinary). The Ordinary worked Paterson, Suffern, Greycourt, Middletown, and Port Jervis. On this day it came up the Bergen County Line and then went down to Paterson on the Main at Ridgewood Junction. It is pictured having returned and coupled back on its train to head up to Suffern next. I remember the excitement of this train appearing with an Alco Century C425 leader in Conrail blue. I'm sure my bike ride back home was a breeze, riding on air. August 20, 1978, Ridgewood, NJ, Charles Freericks photo.
