Welcome back, 1755! Train Y-JOL202 makes It’s way towards Blodgett to switch various Industries overnight as It crosses the Santa Fe-era angle trestle bridge over the I&M Canal in Downtown Joliet, with the infamous 1755 leading (again). The 1755 is unique since It’s one of very few remaining SD40-2 locomotives that still wears It’s Santa Fe ‘bluebonnet’ paint scheme, 28 years after the BNSF merger. This SD40-2 was assigned on this train from February to May earlier this year. Fast forward to September and this engine has found its way back to Joliet and onto Y-JOL202 once again. With the amount of times I documented 1755 on this train earlier In 2023, seeing consistent Santa Fe around Joliet, and close to home nonetheless will never get old!
