All 4 trains of the La Rhune cogwheel railway are meeting in the crossing station of Les Trois Fontaines on 535 meter a.s.l., halfway of the line from Col de Saint-Ignace to the summit of La Rhune mountain (888 meter a.s.l.). The little He 2/2 locomotives were built in 1914 by SLM and BBC for this railway (3) and for the similar cogwheel railway Luchon–Superbagnères (3), which was shut down in 1966. Here we can see from left to right the He 2/2 # 2, # 1, # 5 and # 6 with the cars # 1 to # 6, # 9 and # 10.
