Erie-Lackawanna U34CH No. 3272, recently repainted, shares space with NJ Transit's GP40PH-2 No. 4101 in the United Railroad Historical Society's Boonton Yard during a surprise night shoot with lighting provided by Michael Burkhart. Being on the edge of a hurricane kept the entire weekend very wet. As can be seen, it was a challenge to work in but we all got images to remember. Steinheimer would approve.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
