Evolution Of The Streamliner | Amtrak 406 - a non-powered control unit which used to be an F40PH - sits on display on the turntable at the NC Transportation Museum in Spencer after dark on a warm and humid Friday, May 30, 2014 evening. Surrounded by a smorgasbord of streamlined diesels from the fifties and sixties, this night photo shoot was put on as a part of the "Streamliners At Spencer" event. E-units, F-units, and the like were brought in from all across the country for this once-in-a-lifetime event. Norfolk & Western J-class 611 was even there, pending a full restoration at the museum. Photographed on 4x5 Fujifilm Provia 100F color transparency sheet film using a Sinar F1 view camera.
