Goodbye Bernese Oberland! For 57 years, from 1967 until a few days ago, the Be 4/4 # 22 railcar of the Lauterbrunnen-Mürren mountain railroad carried passengers between Grütschalp and Mürren, in good weather with a magnificent view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The vehicle is now at the Winteregg crossing station and will be transported down to Lauterbrunnen the following day and then on the long journey to Meuselwitz in Thuringia/Germany. There it will be given a second life by the Kohlebahnen e.V. association.
