Tanfield Railway held its annual gala last weekend with guest engine Hawarden coming from the Foxfield railway. Here in the engine shed is an early morning scene with volunteers getting ready for the day's events. 4 of the railway's locomotives are being prepared, Stanley, on the left and No 2 on the right would be used on the Friday. All four were in operation, along with the guest, on the Saturday and Sunday
