I would surmise this to be a railfan excursion, since the Talgo equipment is an early production model dating from the mid-fifties. A similar set, on behalf of builder American Car & Foundry, tested on the New Haven Railroad in the early fifties. Later versions, including domestic production runs for the New Haven and Rock Island, as well as later Spanish-built sets, did not include any porthole windows, as seen on these cars. The locomotive appears to have a special color scheme as well.

Haha, no no, is a commercial service, not a railfan excursion. The Talgo III Generation continue in service, only in a few lines in Spain. This shot is peculiar, but the engine, is the unique 269 in this brand new pain sheme of "Grandes Lineas Renfe", and the Talgo III, is the most old Scheme in Grandes Lineas Renfe. Thanks for your interesting comment and sorry for my bad english. Greetings!
