Very dramatic lighting. It give a very 3-D feel to the shot.

Doesn't get much better than that, Mike. Good job!

I trust you enjoyed the Reefsteamers Dave Rogers Tour. I was one of the locomotive service crews who worked on the three lococomotives (Including Class 25NC No. 3472 depicted here) but did most of my work in the evening and at night. Seeing photos like this make the cold temps worthwhile! That's a lovely 3D shot of steam combined with that elusive glint.

Lee, Since your comment doesn't have an email link enabled, I can't email you and thank you in person, but I'd like to publicly thank you and all the other Reefsteamers (and Umgeni) volunteers who worked so hard on this tour. I know that the long hours began well before and continued long after the five days that the tour participants spent on the Bethlehem line. For steam to continue in the 21st century, it will be through the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Thank you and well done! Michael Allen
