And finally, here is a...make that THE shot that makes me regret not being in Kentucky for the weekend! Excellent work, John. My favorite shot so far, maybe you can top this!

A well deserved SC, buddy! Best QJ shot yet.

So how many barns in Kentucky are sporting the RJ Corman colors? I agree with Andrew, this shot makes me wish I made the trip down. Excellent work John!
Higginson, your rendition of this scene is first rate! What a magnificent "coming by the old barn and tree" shot!
O&F! Amazing image, John, first rate!

John, yes, you've got another great composition here, and admittedly, this engine sounds great in the videos I've seen. However, as I've mentioned on several other occasions, this paint job is an absolute abomination. Heck, it would look better paint entirely in red. So, members of the KKK (Kentucky Krylon Kommandos) do you hear me now !!!

This has really nice composition. Great shot John!
Excellent composition, John. And I guess I'm in the minority by saying I like the paint job on this locomotive.
Smooth and absolute composition of shiny train and green meadow. Fascinated colorful shot!
Congrats John and it was great meeting you. Mike
Amazing shot John! That was a fun chase, Probably one of the best chases ive ever done. Congrats on getting POTW!
I live in the wonderful state this is taken in and yes its beautiful but it is more beautiful with a steam locomotive in the middle of it.
Outstanding photo John; a well deserved POTW!
What a great idea! If you've got a red engine, pulling a red train, find a red barn to put with it. Nice shot and it makes me smile!
Outstanding shot John. Just who do you suppose owns that thing??
I'd love to have this framed on my living room wall!

I would like to state that if Mr. Lyndall does not like our Lexington, Kentucky based, Black, White and Red locomotive than he is free to go to New Haven, Kentucky and photograph L & N #152. Some of my best friends worked long hours on #2008, to help make this happen. It is my humble opinion that both a Historically Accurate Steam Locomotive and a Modern Contemporary Steam Locomotive, can draw railroad photographers to our Beautiful State. "Old Smokey" reportedly will operate several times a year, so please check RJ Corman's web site often for news of future runs. I agree with the rest of the comments that John's photo is just wonderful, but then so are the rest of his posts of this days run.

Fantastic shot with amazing colors!
