There's only one problem with this picture- the Hudson is streamlined. The normal Hudsons look much better.

Does anybody know which locomotive pulled the XXth Century Limited (New York-Chicago line) in 1935? I only know it was a streamlined locomotive.

In answer to a question asked 10 years ago: the first streamlined Hudson to pull the 20th. Century Limited was 5344. This Hudson was shrouded and lettered Commodore Vanderbilt. It was sometimes referred to as upside down bathtub styling. This information was gathered from Al Staufer,s great book “Thoroughbreds”. Thank you for posting this beautiful classic shot. P S the inaugural run Was February 19 1935.
