Thanks AGAIN to everyone for the incredible welcome to RP that I've received -- I'm definitely feeling like Dorothy in Oz, not quite able to grasp what's going on but nevertheless accepting things as they appear. /// A little more background info on this shot: I was heading southbound on Hwy 59 out of Bill and had just come over the first hill south of Crossover 90.5 when I was greeted by the incredible scene of the black sky and the empty just taking the signal in the distance. I literally had just enough time to spot a ranch trail, bail off Hwy 59, whip out and set up my tripod, swap lenses, slap the camera on the tripod, make a rough guess at a decent exposure and start banging away. This was the first shot in the sequence that I took and I never once saw power lines running across the scene. If I'd had my druthers I would have captured the head end about 15 car-lengths back, but this is what I came out with... and I have to admit that I'm pretty darn pleased with the result. /// Thanks again! -Dave Posted by Ray Peacock heartlandrails.com on February 4, 2009  Impressive.
