Wow, keep these coming-please.

Well.. just... excuse me a moment... I need to go pick my jaw up off the floor. I'll be back to finish leaving my comment when I can.

Thats a real mighty fine looking image...a nice little gem. Thanks for sharing this one Bob.

Your Erie Railroad shots from the 1950's are super.
|
Thanks for sharing this. It provides another small glimpse of a little-photographed railroad terminal that I have only read about.
|
I concur with the others, and add a "WOW."

This is really, really cool. I just wish more of the PA's were still around to enjoy.

A lot has changed since this picture was taken and not for the better in this instance.
|
You've captured the other side of railroading in the 1950s. The industrial crudeness of the passenger service, and the ALCO units look well-fitted to both demonstrate, and offer you a great picture.

I never really liked the Alco engines, but they look cool in this picture.
Great shot Bob.

In my opinion, no other locomotive manufacturer could have produced a better locomotive to fill this picture. You captured the scene that best shows what old American railroading looked like, nice shot!

This is excellent! It begs to be put next to one of those slick ATSF Super Chief Posters showing the glamour of rail travel with a caption like: The fantasy & the reality.
