What a great shot of steam locomotive maintenance long since forgotten by modern times! The firebox looks to be in excellent shape. From the shape of the firebox, it appears that the Willamette has a Belpaire Firebox (being a PRR fan, it's one of the first things I notice when looking at steam locomotives). Hope she has a long successful career on the MRSR. Thanks for sharing this gem of a photo.
