Ah, memories of the old Route 128 station, before photography bans and high platforms. There was a time when railfans were welcome here and the loss is felt strongly.
Note the FL9 is only handling six cars, and only two head end cars. I recall seeing this train with three FL9s, and three working RPO cars, four closed mail cars including PRR, ACL, SAL, and RF&P box and baggage style cars. This may have been a Sunday train. The pullman for Florida is also missing, it may be just that we are looking at the asile side of the Boston-Miami sleeper. But, I wonder where the Tampa sleeper is. Granted, SAL and ACL had streamlined, fluted side 10-6s, so the Tampa sleeper might be there with a single coach and no food service car.

Another Great Shot Don. It brings back memories of many Happy Friday Nights there. When you could still cross the tracks as they had a RR Police Officer on Duty to protect the Crossing. The best part was the Superjet Blasting through at about 6:00 PM Nightly.

Nice catch, Don. Thank you for posting. I grew up in the Midwest and never saw the New Haven in person, but like the Boston & Maine, those NH paint schemes remain among my favorites. My New Haven F3's look awesome on my O-Gauge layout!
