Could this be an old Southern Pacific torpedo boat from passenger services days?

Information on the Internet says it belonged to Weyerhaeuser starting in 1990 -1991 and was sold to a dealer in Fontana California in 1994-1996 where after it was sold to Cargill. Before Weyerhaeuser, it was apparently owned by the Oregon, California & Eastern as #312, and prior to that is was BN #1870 and Northern Pacific #247. Built 2/1956.
