Either the Alco roster is growing or the Seminole unit is a parts supply, both of which is good for Alco lovers. My first cab ride was on a Louisville & Nashville RS-3 in it's factory paint scheme, and running long hood forward as God and Alco intended. To this day I dearly love the wonderful sounds these beasts produce.

I am glad to see the 550 find a new home. From what I heard the 550 ran fine on the Seminole Gulf but was bad at shotting sparks out the exhaust and was causing grass fires. So they ended up putting her in storage. So I guess they finally sold her.
