What a shame that this once beautiful locomotive is now looking like an old "hag" and has lost it's "luster".
I believe the California Western should reacquire this tired looking lady and bring it back to life on their tourist line again. The San Diego Railroad Museum sure hasn't taken very good care of it from the looks of it in this photo. Why do museums take in equipment for their collections that they don't maintain or take care of? I can't figure out that thinking on the part of a museum staff! If you can't take care of the equipment you already have in the collection, why add any more you will just let rot away?
