Mitch, who is that crusty old dude at the throttle - looks like you pulled him out of some nursing home !!! BTW, I think Mr. Steinheimer would be impressed.

Awesome, almost eerie image with the light coming through the windows.

Not a bad looking engineer! But it looks like his fireman has bailed on him!

Somehow, I sense that Dennis is eyeing a retirement job in Southern Connecticut! ;o)

Number 40 used to send out plenty of ash. If you stood too close to the train going by, your hair would be full of black diamonds. I clicked on “both” and found that you have the concept covered.

"I wish to thank all my adoring fans..." I'll answer each one 1. It was all a plot to get my mug on. 2 No nursing home for me...yet! 3. Not the "Erie," the "Valley." 4. Firemen are overrated. 5. The Valley would greatly benefit by my joining the roster. It was terrific to work together with Mitch on this one. We came up with something better than if we had worked alone, a point borne out that nether of us posted what we did separately. I knew the shot I wanted to emulate was iconic and filtered through Mitch, I figured we "do good." Things I like are the light from the side and not flat from the camera, the gold light outside, the appurtenances and the open firedoor. The guy looks authentic, and while not real dirty, the clothes are not clean having helped sweat a tire off a wheel earlier that day at the Valley. I would change the the eye direction, say to the steam gauge but a minor quibble. The black and white version that looks real good too and Mitch and I would have loved both to be here. All and all, something a bit different for everyone to see and enjoy.

Awesome photo, he looks kind of like one of my co workers. Though our jobs aren't as cool as the guy in this picture!
