The railroad probably had to re-upholster the seats too, 'cause I'm sure the crew pinched a couple of holes in them on that ride!

Now the Beach Sub, that was an interesting piece of railroad real estate. Must have been quite a sight watch a freight take the shortcut... probably to the annoyance of Burlingtonians! A few more feet and the 1212 might have taken a trip to the beach as well. Please keep the gems coming, Doug.

They say that if you can come up with a modeling idea, there is likely a prototype for it SOMEWHERE. Well, this looks almost exactly like what used to happen on my MODEL railroad. All we need now is for the big hand to come down from the sky and rerail that lead unit.
