This is an ALCO PA-1 built between June, 1946 and December, 1953.
The PA-1's had the small window towards the rear of the locomotive, PA-2's did not.
The faded out black number board to the right of the engine door looks like it reads 53, which would make sense with the original ATSF roster for these loco's.
Which leaves one question, where is "Potter's Field"? Anyone?

Location looks like Argo IL area. IIRC thats Corn Products Argo plant in the background. They're just down the street from Pielot Brothers, the scrapper.
