Looks like Dennis gave you a grand tour indeed, Mitch -- this is just spectacular. Beautifully captured.

Beautiful shot of America's most beautiful railroad station.

Wow, how do you do it Mitch?

Splendid photo and nicely worded write-up to go along with it!

Very nice, and crisp! One of the best photos I've seen in a long time!
Excellent Mitch! Turned out real nice!
Dennis showed you around and you showed him up...kind of. I liked his version of this shot when he posted it, but yours gives a slightly different lighting that I like, too. I hope you went inside and bought Dennis a beer for pointing you in the right direction!

Oh my Mitch....simply spectacular. I'll say it again...you are the KING of classic depot shots! Keep them coming sir...

This is a fine photo. I often go in and out of this terminal on my daily commute but I almost never get to see the view from the uppper roadway as you have here. I hope this pic will encourage anyone who has the time and opportunity to visit the terminal and take one of the tours offered. I have done so a few times and can attest that they are well worth your time. Thanks for taking this and sharing.

The Commodore has never looked better!
Stunning photo, Mitch! Well done!
The sharpness and color are unbelievable. Great addition to your upcoming book! :o) Not sure I would have been brave enough to pitch my tripod there...yikes!

Excellent! Gotta be careful up there, huh? :)

Looking forward to LIRR access.
Your on a role, Mitch, that's another PC shot! I'm glad Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis stepped up to help save that one.
Beautiful Mitch. Simply Beautiful.
This is a most well done beauty Mitch. For me, it is very educational to see how different photographers handle the same shot. And since I rate your shot above mine, I can learn from you. Thanks for the credit too. For those interested, my version is at Dennis GCT shot

CONGRATULATIONS, MITCH !! DEFINITE PCA And to think, PC had plans afoot to tear down this MAGNIFICENT structure.
Sure beats the AMTK / NJTR Newark Airport Station.

I agree with all comments. I have great memories of this terminal. Every Christmas, my father would put us on a train, usually the New Haven’s Murray Hill at Boston's South Station and we would spend a weekend in "the city". We would stay in the Commodore Hotel and sometimes get a room with a view of Grand Central. We figure our father went to New York City to see the “Rockets” red glare".
what a great night city-scape Mitch, congrats on the PCA.
Really nice!
Hard to believe the really run trains under all that concrete and steele!
Stunning color and composition. Well done! - Steve Crise
