On the off chance the story may have been embellished a smidgin' I must say that the results are a terrific image indeed and certainly worth the efforts employed to get it. I really enjoyed the story, glad you didn't encounter any wildlife that potentially risked your hide. Thanks for your efforts and lastly fro sharing your image here with us.

I can see figures in the open door of that baggage car. It must be quite a view from there! I have to admire your tenacity, Dave. I would have gone home after the 7th shot. I would have saved at least ONE for the bears! :o)

Impressive dedication to get the shot. I will stop complaining about getting a few brambles stuck in my socks when looking for a photo vantage point!

What is it with you Alaskans and your guns? :)

The way I figure, anything that combines shotguns and trains is worth it!

Great shot as usual Dave, and worth the effort, an adventure in itself after my own heart. Here in Australia if you chopped a few trees down to enhance the view, you'd get hauled before the Environmental Protection Board and the cops as well for illegally using a firearm !
