The car at the rear of this train is a former C&O, 52-seat, Pullman-built divided coach (with distinctive half-corrugated sides,) the Seaboard acquired prior to the merger. This particular one had its P-S style corrugations replaced with Budd-type flutes, mostly likely when SAL repaired the rusted body structure behind the original stainless trim.

Absolute classic. You can stand in downtown Arcadia & still feel the spirit of this shot, even tho' the rails no longer exist at this spot.
