Dang, missed a great opportunity for a "Common Angle, Common Power" quip. Lovely picture, definitely worthy of a "reminder" upload for those folks like me who simply did not know that these Builders Shots are out there. I lack the education to consistently search them out, so keep the "oop's's" coming:)

This is not an SD50. EMD 2 is an SD60, one of four, numbered 1-4. This striking blue and white scheme was also used for three each, GP60s (numbered 5-7,) and GP59s (numbered 8-10,) demo sets as well. While SD60 demos 1, 2 and 4 went to Conrail, the 3 stayed with EMD as a test bed and was eventually refitted with radial trucks. This is a beautiful image, Joe.

Great shot, Joe... dang, I drove through pretty close to there in August of 1984! Wish I'd known.
