This is, perhaps, by far one of the best artificial sun photos I have seen. Well done, Tom. You consistently out do yourself. Can't wait to see the next one! Oh yeah, proud to say I was working on that train! :)

Nice black and white! The O. Winston Link look is always interesting.

When I saw this on Facebook originally, I knew this would do well if ever posted to RP. Well done on the SC. This ranks as one of the best night flash illuminated photos I've seen. Really tastefully done.

The thumbnail alone made me say 'wow'. Your use of selective lighting works incredibly well in this scene. One of the top flash bulb shots I've seen on this site. Great work, Thomas.

Outstanding image Tom! Your best yet! Ya know, someday you be good at this...:-)

I often just scroll through the thumbnails of the latest, and I saw this and thought, "5 bucks says this is an SC." I was right. Nicely done!

Simply amazing! Outstanding job on this Thomas.

Excellent capture, Tom! Very dramatic lighting - looks like something from a movie. Looks like the Valley is "back on the map", thanks to you and a few others.

As I've often said, there's TAKING a photo, and MAKING a photo. After yesterday's post I knew you'd nail it if you got another chance. Beautiful!

Tom, very well done. Most night shots of this sort try to light too much and they may as well have been taken in daylight. You have the right balance by being selective in what you illuminated and with restraint on how much light to use which produced a terrific composition and image. PCA from me.

Mr. Nanos, This photo is awesome! I wish my grandparents, aunts, uncles and mother were alive to see it as they were born and raised in Haddam beginning in the 1910's. They rode this rail many times past that home on the hill. Thanks so much, Tom Gorton, Nanning, China

Terrific shot, Tom! I'm with Mitch...the dramatic lighting gives this a very cinematic look.

Once again the theory is proven to be fact - less is more. Looks like a two light lighting job. Alfred Hitchcock would approve! - Steve Crise

My first impression was Halloween Express! Regardless, it's a striking image.
