I see that the local construction company has found the best way to keep traffic out of the construction zone.

Some urban street running branches still exist to serve only 1 customer. THIS job looks like they may handle quite a few carloads along this stretch. One question: I hope they don't call it "The Sidewinder" because the bumps on this line make the train sway dangerously...no one wants to get bit by a sidewinder, especially (if driving alongside) THIS one.

OMG someone finally got a shot of a train on this stretch of track! Were you lucky or do you know what days this local does it's run to South Phoenix?

Not sure of how this train got pegged "The Sidewinder", but can speculate. Mobest Yard was the terminus for Santa Fe's Line from Williams Junction to Phoenix. Heading south of the yard and away from the hub of the yard, Santa Fe built a 3 mile long line to reach various industries in South Phoenix. This line had to cross the Southern Pacific through an interlocking and then meandered it's way into a very industrial area. I was lucky to catch this train coming out of the yard and followed it for a while, but based upon the number of cars handled, this train probably operates daily or every other day.
