Thanks Al, I believe the track was pulled up in the 1970s, though traffic through here must have been seasonal and sparse at best for quite some time before that. Grover's population is around 150 people, and the depot is currently a museum with afternoon hours during the summer.

In Cheyenne, there is about a 60-75 yard length of the original track left right south of I-80 near Sierra Trading Post.

Easy to see why CB&Q called it quits in this part of Colorado. The cast of Gunsmoke or Bonanza has a better chance of coming back.

If you allow yourself to view this your mind's eye, you can almost picture bustling activity here from long ago. There's a sadness about it. Nice picture and thank you for posting.

That looks similar to most parts of West Texas, an area roughly the size of Arizona, the 6th largest US state.
