Good photo of my favourite class of British Rail loco. I have to say that whilst i enjoy looking at US loco pics what is very obvious is that all their diesels are really the same. At least British Rail had a very wide range of diesel types -all of which were visually quite different.To my mind this made the British Railway scene far more interesting. We didn't care about paint schemes really...it was the type of loco we were interested in. .
