The younger folks who frequent RP cannot remember (since it wasn't in their lifetime) when such small town depots and their agents were the "railroad." Thanks, Joe, for another classic!

I had the good fortune of working with several female operators between Oakridge Oregon and Crescent Lake Oregon in 1946/47. I later went to the CP In British Columbia where we had no women operators I have often wished I had stayed in contact with the operators in Oregon.
