Nice capture for you of a classic train at a classic great location!

Well done David capturing this iconic train off its normal route putting the Simplon back into the Venice Simplon Orient Express! I wish I had been there - I see the British Pullman section of this train from my house but the view is not quite like this.

Shirley Sherwood, the wife of the Chief Executive wrote a book describing the history of all the cars, British and European. I have no financial interest except that I have been a passenger. It's a great read.
One lady passenger managed to flat all the wheels one day!

Almost Heaven...

Just to add to what I have already said, the attention to detail is stunning. The first thing I did on the train was to lift the tablecloth expecting to see a chipboard sheet. Wrong! It was a solid timber table, beautifully veneered with marquetry matching the car name. I was on "Cygnus" so the table had a marquetry swan which was matched by a similar swan on the floor of the lavatory.
