I know this is a late post - but what was the purpose for the dual number-boards by the headlight mount? It is curious to see that!

The upper road numbers are painted on, not an illuminated numberboard. They got the additional numbers after they were repainted into bloody nose as were SP's RS11s and RSD-15s. Don't know why they did this, but these don't have classification lights above the numberboards, so there was room to paint them on--and maybe someone had too much time on their hands. . .
