I lived in Georgia for a few years around 1970 and fondly remember our excitement at seeing just one of these and here you got them all. They were dogs mechanically but they sure looked good.

The six axle GE fleet of this era was something of an enigma for Southern Railway.

looks like that is in the RIP yard to the north of the engine terminal. Even in the late 90s with the U23s, NS would utilize some of these tracks to stage (store) locomotives before sending them to Pegram.
