How is THIS not a SC?! Killer shot, Wyatt! Looks like your trip to PA was a success! PC vote from me.

Phenomenally great Fall scene with matching tunnel motors to boot!

Love the scene and colors too. And a PCA.

The ore train is probably headed for USS’s Mon Valley Works Edgar Thomson Plant, located about 10 miles southeast of Pittsburgh in Braddock, PA. It is my understanding that no integrated steel operations remain in Pittsburgh, PA where molten iron is produced by heating ore and coke in a blast furnace. My old defunct alma mater LTV Steel also ended primary steelmaking in Pittsburgh many years ago probably under the J&L moniker. Nevertheless, this is a beautiful autumn scene.

A well chosen POTW - A great image of a less often seen railroad that may have otherwise slipped under the radar. And, after all, 'tis the season for Fall foliage.

Wow! Really great to see the tunnel motors still around! Breath taking image!

The trees and the tunnel motors compliment each other. Absolutely beautiful photo! After 7 or so years of ownership by the CN, the Bessemer has yet to be infiltrated by a single CN locomotive. I live in Butler PA and the Bessemer does not excite me, as it is a daily sight of the same boring locomotive consists and ore and coal trains. The absence of CN power may come to an end real quick, as CN ore trains are to be run over the Buffalo & Pittsburgh from Buffalo NY to Butler PA and on down to North Bessemer PA to the Union RR.
