My head snapped when I saw this. Look at all that iron awaiting its doom! Surrounded by the victor, these once mighty steeds and pride of the railroad will soon be gone. How wonderful it would have been if these steamers had put into a roundhouse and kept for all to see and admire? This shot also begs the question, why the absurd choice of white, already besmirched, for a locomotive? Perhaps management desired the antithesis of black steam?

The lead(or trailing) unit in the background consist that includes the FTs is most likely a rare F2 as CB&Q mated these A-B-A units soon after delivery.
