Nice photo of the new in the midst of the old in my former employment stomping grounds of the Calumet region. The Chicago Skyway is seen on the left and the abandoned Falstaff brewery silos are in the background. I’m sure the oil train is headed out east, as the huge nearby BP refinery in Whiting, IN is flush with in place pipelines and will soon be able to process the tar sands crude from Canada with the completion of its massive $3 billion plus plant modernization project.
