Back in Chicago in the late sixties, when the Santa Fe was running up to six F-units on a passenger train, one could often see B-units being hostled in pairs, at the ATSF passenger engine terminal, south of Dearborn Station, since only two Fs could fit on the turntable at a time.

Well, again I say, this time to KJ Larson the photographer, that I greatly appreciate this type of photo and MOSTLY the explanation. While I studiously look over every day's photos here, I most appreciate those that give we-the-unknowing, a chance to see and read an explanation of things unknown. Thanks, KJ....
