How sad it is to see all of that historic equipment being destroyed by the elements. It appears as though none of it will ever be made to run again. It would have been far better if Bissoo Towboat Co. had sent it all to the scrappers torches.

Hey - they've rebuilt worse wrecks than this in the UK and got them up and running again. Needs lots of money thrown at it though!

Don't rush to judgment - there is more to the story here than is shown.
This loco in this condition when it was recently acquired by LASTA in 2013. Bisso Towing had it sitting on the levee of the Mississippi River unprotected from the elements. It was last painted in the early 1980s.
I think LASTA plans on restoring this unit but has not started yet. They did an outstanding job on the T&P 745 several years ago.
