Very nice work and fabulous locomotive. Would someone satisfy my curiosity and tell me what lubes are in the two cans ??? (one red, one copper-colored ?)

@Tom - He used the lube cans to fill some cups near the steam cylinder rod slider seen on the right side of picture. I imagine that each can holds a different viscosity oil.

Thanks, Carl. I was also wondering if the red can might have been more a bit more flammable. (Am I getting too modern ??) What a marvelous piece of machinery !! It looks like it has received a lot of loving care.

A dirty, greasy, grimy job....a necessary task to keep a steam locomotive operating properly. Definitely a 'skill of the craft' job. Thanks for sharing photo of this time honored task.
