I think it's interesting that the locomotives have "Winter cabs" on them - or were they covered like that for shipping purposes? Either way - the enclosed cabs would make it really warm and toasty in those things in the summer. Nice photo Steve - I love the "flurry of action" look that this photo conveys.

From what I have heard was they were heading to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. From what I understand, where they are going, they will be operational again.

Thanks Dana. About the winter cabs, these are actually former Canadian National locomotives. So actually heading home. I lucked out by being in the right place at the right time with a camera. There was a lot going on for departure. I was very fortunate to watch the coupling and pulling out. If I was not heading to work, I would have chased the move to Waynesboro, Virginia to the NS interchange.
