While viewing the thumbnail version of your photo, the roof line and wheel trucks of this 'car' sure caught my eye and your comments confirmed what my eyes were seeing. It's neat the way some railroads modified steam locomotives and tenders at the end of the steam era so that they could still provide a useful service in a post steam locomotive era. As a steam fan, I'm glad ideas like this happened. That way, parts got saved instead of being sold for scrap.
