Between Alexandria and Richmond on the RF&P... I wonder if that means some photos of this excursion passing through Fredericksburg exist somewhere. Steam (including N&W 611, no less!) in Fredericksburg during the modern era - what a thought!

I was there at Doswell evidently standing very near you. I have basically the same shot. Two of my fellow NRHS members and I chased this train to Ashland and on down to Richmond.
