What a catch! It makes for a wild "what if" and yet, with the econo-passenger cars trailing, a thank goodness not! Though, I'll bet the last years of the NYC were no where near as glamorous as the decade prior!

Thank you all. New York Central painted FL9 2013 was eventually acquired by the Danbury Railway Museum, located in Danbury, Ct. It is currently on display at the museum. Sister locomotive 2012 was retired by Metro-North and placed into storage at Harmon. Not sure what ever happened to this unit.
