Sold by the Railroad Museum of New England. VMT's EL-C is still in Roanoke.

Following its active career this ex-Virginian/New Haven/Penn Central/Conrail locomotive was owned by the Railroad Museum of New England, which acquired it from Conrail and had it in storage along the Valley Railroad at Old Saybrook, CT, for 20+ years. Unfortunately it was outdoors, and the weather took its toll.

I saw this locomotive sitting in the yard at Altoona last year. Unfortunately, the locomotive was too far away and partially hidden in the yard so I couldn't get a good photograph of it. Thanks for the background information.
