I love the NP's paint scheme and the intentional graphic design of the A-B-A sets to be run in A-B-A configuration with NORTHERN PACIFIC and the logo on the B unit only.

In the late 50's early 60's Lionel had a beautiful NP passenger train with an Alco PA. There was always one on display at Christmas. I always thought it was the most beautiful of all of the model trains during that time. However, Santa never brought one.

Carlyle, I NEVER saw the model you are referring to, but a Northern Pacific PA would truly have been a thing of BEAUTY. Regrettably though, they never actually had any.
