Wow! Just when you think prior Columbia River shots can't be outdone...

Gorgeous perspective and photo! Looks like the kind of shot that could work in both directions - a Santa Fe led freight or a going away BNSF shot. Assuming it's the latter, in which case you lucked out with what appears to be a lit headlight and running on the "wrong" track, or is that perhaps a long siding? Regardless, great shot!

Really surprised that this image didn't grab an SC or PotW. That's a gorgeous "train-scape" composition and probably not an easy one to get. I've been to the Portland area numerous times....and never once seen Mt. Hood, due to clouds. This one's a keeper, Chris. Nice capture!

A warbonnet, rock outcroppings, a snow capped mountain, a river...what ISN'T in this photo? Really scored with this one, Chris, well done. Who needs drones when you've got an eye for this :D

How nice to see a red/silver warbonnet unit in 2018. Question: is that big green patch an apple orchard?

Nice shot, the gorge is great with or without trains but better with trains.

We see and enjoy a lot of fine shots of trains in the Columbia River Gorge and a lot of very nice pictures with Mount Hood in the background, but I do not recall one as wonderful as this. The composition, the colors, catching the distributed power - it is overwhelming. Thank you for thrilling everyone who visits Railpictures.net. This made my day.

A work of art @Chris Starnes! Even the color of the water is pretty! VERY nice shot!
