That's a nice catch, Doug. Actually, I'm surprised to see the connection in use at this late date. Looks like the big "G" spent all of about 5 minutes eliminating "CONRAIL" on the lead unit.

Ted, the Belden Hill tunnel expansion was dedicated on January 31, 1986. From the time the project started in 1985 until then, every D&H train between Binghamton and the north used this route, which required a switchback operation at Jefferson Junction. After that, the Penn Division from Jefferson Junction to Nineveh was abandoned.
