Calling it a "modern day GG-1" is something I heard from others and is no way meant to "disrespect" the GG-1. The ALP has cabs on both ends, is electric, runs on the same route as the GG-1 and is wrapped in a scheme that is similar to what the engine wore. Though I was not alive to see one running in person, I understand and appreciate it's importance in rail history. I feel like some people are missing the point.

The 5 stripe Tuscan PRR paint scheme looks good no matter what it used on.
