My PCA. Glad to see this nose shot of NS611. Reminds me of a ride I took on it in the mid '80's from my hometown of Jacksonville, IL to Griggsville, IL. When I got off, I walked up and rubbed her nose not realizing how time would pass, but glad to see it still going in 2019. (I also learned something else- be very sure to bring along a good set of protective goggles the next ride.)

Dark and Moody by Dan Drennen, just the way I like it. Emerging out as if from a sorcerer’s cloud of black magic, 611 casts a spell on all who gaze upon its visage.

Very nice! Steam locomotives are animated machines and your photo captures it well. You gotta love steam locomotives!

Of all of the 611 photos out there(and there are many fantastic shots) this is one of my favorites. I love the mood and texture captured. Nice effect with the smoke wrapping around but with a halo of clear sky. Great shot!!
